Most scheduling tools can tell you who is working. Operiin tells you whether the stations that matter are covered by people verified to run them — interval by interval, through breaks, callouts, and demand peaks.
A schedule can be fully staffed and still unable to run the line. Coverage fails when the people present cannot work the stations demand actually hits. Operiin evaluates every scheduled interval against verified station capability — not just how many people are clocked in — so "six on the floor" and "the fryer is covered at 6pm" stop being the same claim.
Every role carries required stations, and every employee carries verified and cross-trained skills. Operiin’s Capability Verification separates the stations a person must be able to run from the ones they can optionally back up, so coverage math never silently counts an unverified cross-trainee as full coverage on a required station.
Coverage is computed in 10-minute intervals across the operating day, weighted by demand. The Station Coverage view shows assigned versus optimal headcount per station through the shift, so the 2:30pm dip that never appears on a daily roster becomes visible before it happens.
A legally required break at the wrong moment can drop a required station to zero capable coverage. Break Coverage models every break placement against station demand, and the Break Builder moves breaks into safer windows without dropping compliance — while attendance exceptions feed the same model in real time.
When one person is the only verified operator of a critical station, the schedule is fragile even when it looks full. Operiin flags single-point dependencies and shows what the shift loses if that person calls out, goes on break, or leaves early — before the day starts.
When coverage breaks, Priority Actions ranks the available moves — reassignment, extension, break shift, or cross-trained backup — by modeled exposure reduction. Managers review and decide; Operiin shows which single move recovers the most, and the Schedule and Station Builders make the change concrete.
Operiin provides operational decision support. Coverage scores and exposure figures are modeled estimates from customer-provided data; managers remain responsible for staffing, scheduling, and labor-compliance decisions.
