Job titles say who was hired. Verified capability says what the operation can actually do. Operiin verifies station competency person by person, skill by skill — and connects it to scheduling, coverage, and training decisions.
Every employee-station pairing carries a verified level: Green (independent), Yellow (developing, partial credit), or Red (not yet ready). These are training-readiness measures — verified by a manager or trainer, never inferred — and they are explicitly not performance ratings. The result is a capability map the whole operating model can trust.
A station is not one skill. Operiin breaks each station into sub-skills with supervised and unsupervised hour requirements, so "trained on grill" decomposes into the specific abilities that make someone independently capable — and completion percentages reflect hours actually verified.
Being able to work a station and being able to teach it are different qualifications. Operiin tracks trainer verification separately, so training plans are only built around people qualified to train — and stations that depend on a single trainer are flagged as continuity risks.
Cross-trained backups are what make a schedule survivable. Operiin distinguishes required-station competency from optional cross-training, measures depth per station, and shows where one callout turns a covered station into an uncovered one.
When someone is out, who can actually step in? Because capability is verified per station and sub-skill, Operiin can model realistic substitutions — not job-title swaps — and rank them by how much operating strength each substitution preserves.
Capability that lives in too few people is a business risk, not just a scheduling problem. Operiin surfaces where essential station capability concentrates in one person or one shift pattern, and the training priority queue directs hours at the gaps with the largest modeled operating value.
